What Are the “Double Grade A” Qualifications?
The Urban & Road Lighting Engineering Professional Contracting Qualification is divided into three levels:
- Grade 1: Can undertake all types and scales of urban and road lighting construction projects.
- Grade 2: Limited to projects with a single contract value not exceeding RMB 12 million.
- Grade 3: Limited to projects with a single contract value not exceeding RMB 6 million.
The Lighting Engineering Design Specialty Qualification is divided into Grade A and Grade B:
- Grade A (issued by the Ministry): No restrictions on project type or scale— the highest and most stringent level in the industry.
- Grade B (issued by provincial authorities): Limited to medium and smaller-scale specialty lighting design projects.
