Baidu International Building is located in the High-Tech Industrial Park of Nanshan District, Shenzhen, with a total floor area of 36,000 square meters including 3 basement levels and 39 above-ground levels (4 podium levels), reaching a height of 181.2 meters. The tower is a steel-concrete column-frame-core tube structure, with diagonal steel trusses spanning over 26 meters and a total assembled weight of nearly 90 tons. The building is 181 meters high with a construction area of over 220,000 square meters, consisting of two tower buildings in the east and west.
It is one of the six pilot parks for the national initiative to “build world-class high-tech parks”, and is designated as a “national intellectual property pilot park” and a “national high-tech industry standardization demonstration zone”.
The facade design of the building draws inspiration from the name “Baidu”, creatively transforming the ancient Chinese phrase “In the vast sea of people, I search for him in thousands of Baidu” into the modern computer language of “binary code”, creating a unique exterior facade for Baidu International Building. Upon completion, the Baidu International Building will serve as the headquarters of Baidu South China, as well as playing important roles as the international headquarters and Shenzhen R&D center of Baidu.
