Above the shimmering reflection of Yundang Lake, where the city’s ambition stretches towards the hills, a new landmark is taking shape: the Xiamen ByteDance Headquarters. More than a workplace, it is the eastern gateway to Xiamen’s Binbei Super Headquarters Base—a vital nexus connecting the city’s cultural heart, athletic spirit, and future commerce. Positioned at the crossroads of Hubin East Road and Sports Road, steps from the Talent Center Station on Metro Line 3, the building embraces sweeping views of Yundang Lake and Xianyue Mountain. Here, ByteDance is crafting not just an office, but an ultra-high-energy headquarters destined to lead Xiamen’s next chapter.
Encompassing 81,700 square meters and set for completion in 2025, this tower is a statement in form and function. At Hongyu Lighting, we are honored to shape its after-dark identity, translating architecture and ambition into a luminous symbol of Xiamen’s progress.
Design Vision: Light, Landscape, and Algorithm
Inspired by ByteDance’s culture of dynamic innovation and Xiamen’s harmonious blend of water, mountain, and urban life, our lighting design tells a story of “digital tranquility.” We envision the façade not just illuminated, alive—breathing with rhythm and meaning.
- The Base Pulse – “Portal of Convergence”
Warm 3000K linear lights cascade like gentle data streams across the podium, welcoming the flow of talent. Soft blue-green washes mirror the nearby Yundang Lake, tying the structure to its natural setting while illuminating collaborative spaces and innovation labs with an inviting glow. - The Tower Ascent – “Ridge of Ideas”
Crisp 4000K vertical grazing lights trace the building’s elegant silhouette, creating an upward sweep of light that echoes the slopes of Xianyue Mountain. This “luminous ridge” mirrors the climb of ideas from ground-level creativity to strategic vision—programmable to celebrate milestones or pulse with the quiet energy of a late-night breakthrough. - The Crown Glow – “Island Lantern”
At the summit, tunable spotlights shift from amber dusk to ethereal white, casting a soft halo visible across the island. This gentle beacon symbolizes the far-reaching influence of ByteDance and Xiamen’s growing digital economy—a guiding light in the coastal night.

- An array of over 2,100 high-output RGBW LED luminaires and intelligent projectors ensures consistent, elegant illumination (150–220 lx) with strict zero-light-trespass control, protecting the serene nightscape of the lake and surrounding community.
- A DMX512 control system with 15+ dynamic scenes—from daily work rhythms to special event spectacles—is linked to AI and environmental sensors, achieving over 30% energy savings in Xiamen’s subtropical climate.
- Fixtures boast superior color rendering (CRI >90) for true-to-life aesthetics and IP67 resilience against coastal humidity. The system is designed for seamless integration with ByteDance’s ever-evolving technological ecosystem.
